Justin T Phillips is a Digital Artist in the Center for Educational Informatics at North Carolina State University. Justin is responsible for creating art and animation assets, designing and building game environments, mentoring any art graduate students in the office, and finding solutions to any other art related problems.
Justin has been involved in visual arts from a very young age and enjoys both the organic freedom of drawing and painting as well as the more mechanical endeavors or sculpture, woodworking, and good old fashioned legos, and outside of work he tries to balance his free time between playing games and creating personal works of art to continue pushing his skills to new levels, or sometimes just to build a new bookshelf for the living room.
Justin joined the Center for Educational Informatics in 2019 and brings several years of experience in commercial mobile and indy games development to the team in order to find innovative and practical art solutions to projects and pipelines of scale. He received both his Masters and Bachelors Degree in Art + Design from North Carolina State University in 2014 and 2012 respectively.
